KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the reservations team, ensuring accurate and timely handling of all reservation inquiries and bookings

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize room revenue and occupancy.

  • Develop and standardize processes across all hotels in the Cluster to maximise efficiency.

  • Oversee the use of Marriott Reservation systems and Opera PMS, ensuring accurate input and maintenance of guest profiles and reservation details.

  • Ensure adherence to departmental PCI standards and procedures.

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the facilities and services of all hotels in the reservation cluster, and effectively communicate this information to the team and guests.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to provide feedback and suggestions for enhancing service quality and operational efficiency.

  • Drive and monitor departmental KPIs, ensuring alignment with hotel and brand objectives.

  • Uphold and reinforce grooming and professional standards as outlined in the Associate Handbook.

  • Manage financial aspects of the reservations department, including budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.

  • Send regular monthly updates to all hotel in the Reservation Cluster.

  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and Marriott's Worldwide Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

  • Lead by example, embodying the Westin Service Culture Standards, Marriott Journey, and Brand Core values.

  • Update information of new guests, ensuring that all address details, room rates, departure dates, marketing statistics , travel agency details and codes and method of payment are precise and correct

  • Be available to work a rotating roster with availability for shifts Monday to Saturday from 8am until 7pm.

  • Processing reservations and inquiries as per guidelines and brand standards

  • To maintain company confidentiality, ensure that business dealings within the organisation are not discussed with outside parties

  • Support the hotel and team members, maintaining a pleasant atmosphere with co-workers at all times

  • To demonstrate a high level of product knowledge and job skills, showing enthusiasm to increase this knowledge

  • Attend meetings as required

  • Work efficiently at all times

  • Anticipate guest's needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or through effective communication with other associates

  • Comply with and abide by all hotel polices and procedure and information as outlined in Associate handbook

  • To work as and where directed by Management plus follow all reasonable requests
