08th February, 2024 COAL SAMPLE PREPARER - BRISBANE About the Position ALS Coal is looking for people to fill various roles within the Sample Preparation section at our Richlands facility. This role will include duties within the Physical Testing Laboratory. If you have a drive to produce quality results and a strong team spirit, we would like to hear from you. The role: As a Coal Sample Preparer, you will prepare Coal Samples for laboratory analysis.    These are entry-level positions, and successful applicants will receive full training. Casual role but must be available to work Monday to Friday. Full-Time roles and traineeships offered to great workers Opportunities for multi-skilling within the department are available, with the potential for advancement into leadership roles The day to day: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Sorting bags of samples (weighing up to 16kg) Operating sample preparation equipment (weighing scales, crushers, pulverisers, etc.) Performing routine manual tasking in a coal processing environment Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and to agreed standard operating instructions A range of physical tests including sample preparation, sizing, crushing, dividing and sample storage The essentials: The successful candidate must possess the following skills and abilities: Ability to follow set procedures Have excellent attention to detail Be willing to work as part of a high-performance team with a focus on quality & safety Be reliable, physically fit, and prepared to carry out repetitive manual handling tasks Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems A valid…
