COLD STORE OPERATORS

Zerella Fresh is one of Australia’s largest grower and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes supplying Australia’s leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports.

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated COLD STORE OPERATORS to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, supporting operations at our Parilla site in South Australia.

As a valuable member of our team, the roles will play a vital role in the success of our Potato and Onion operation. If you are reliable, energetic and have a passion for agriculture we would love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team. Reporting directly to the Shed Manager you will be working in a shed environment.

An attractive remuneration package between $70,000 - $80,000 is available to the right candidates.

We are seeking candidates to be based at both our Parilla site.

Duties include:

• To safely, effectively and efficiently maintain the cold storage area to ensure operations needs are met without negative impacts to the customer or business.

• Stacking products with appropriate pallet spacing and labelling

• Managing stock holdings in the cold storage area to ensure redundant/obsolete stock is minimised, through stock rotations and daily stock take

• Ensure stock is labelled, packed and organised for despatch

• Ensure customer orders are packed to specification and delivery requirements

• Pick products from the cold storage area according to specifications

• Maintaining quality of product and cleanliness of cool room

• Responsibility to understand the site’s commitment to the ongoing compliance to the Freshcare Food Safety and Quality Standard

• Inform supervisor if there is a potential for product contamination

• Not perform or fail to perform any activity which will result in a non-compliance with the company’s policies and procedures

• No equipment damage to produce or equipment

• Work area is maintained in a clean and tidy state

• Demonstrate compliance with the site’s food safety, access and movement requirements

• All other directions of management to achieve the company’s objectives

• Shift coverage to ensure effective coverage of operations

• Responsiveness to 24/7 operation

Requirements:

• Relevant Certificate II plus one year of experience OR between 1-2 years relevant experience

• Full/unrestricted driver’s licence (essential)

• High Risk Forklift Licence (essential)

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment

• Knowledge of production procedures

• Ability to multitask

• Knowledge of industry safety and quality systems.

This position will require Weekend and night work in line with production demands.
