About the Role

This is a critical role within the Institutional Capital Reforms Program, implementing one of the most significant changes to the Capital framework under which Banks operate. This role will lead end-to-end delivery, working in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders aligning to the Enterprise Collateral Solution. This is a high priority program that will deliver a number of major system, policy and process changes in response to the requirements released by APRA under APS 112 and APS 113. These changes will ultimately impact the way we manage Institutional customers, which will need to be effectively defined, planned and implemented to ensure on-going compliance.
 

Specifically, this role will lead the overall strategy, implementation and roll-out of all requirements relating to the management of Collateral under the new Regulatory Standards. Including defining business and system requirements, documenting current and future state processes, and designing and delivering large scale data uplift of our global Collateral data. The role will also support a number of other project activities including data remediation, change management, business readiness and communications, architecture, system integration, data governance and testing.

What will your day look like

 


Your key priorities and responsibilities include: 

 

  • Have an understanding of regulatory requirements relating to the management of Collateral, as it pertains to determining Capital calculations under the new APS 113/ 112 regulatory standards.
  • Devising a clear strategy of how to address each of the new requirements that both meet the regulatory ‘go-live’ date and has the support of both the Institutional/ Commercial businesses and Operations teams to execute and operationalise. Agreed solutions need to be fit-for-purpose, efficient and deliver business/strategic benefits– scope includes both Global Institutional and Commercial CACHE (Aus).
  • Build relationships with multiple enterprise stakeholders managing scope, dependencies and outcomes aligning to the Enterprise Collateral Solution.
  • Design and execute the end-to-end remediation of Institutional Collateral data as needed for Capital Reforms and broader Enterprise requirements.
  • Design and build changes to BAU processes as it relates to changed processes for when, how and what collateral data needs to be captured in our systems going forward.
  • Work with Institutional and Enterprise teams to develop the Strategic End State Architecture/ Plan and execute.
  • Overall, meet APRA requirements and timeframes for Regulatory Compliance.
  • Will lead a team of project resources to execute e2e delivery; solution delivery will comprise a mixture of system changes to CCMS, data remediation, data sourcing and defining operational processes to maintain data integrity and control environment. 
  • Leading the team to document current and future state processes across the areas impacted by the changes, including capturing impacts on upstream and downstream systems and reporting. Working across various other program streams, including change management, business readiness & comms, architecture, system integration, data governance and testing.  
  • Providing regular status updates into the Steering Committee/ Governance forums.  
  • Adhering to established ANZ policy and procedures and project / program practices and governance.

  • Demonstrable experience in delivering large/complex change/ transformation programs of work.
  • Experience in designing and successfully rolling-out process change into the business.
  • Experience in phasing and designing technical solutions that integrate both systems and business process change.
  • Demonstrated Senior Leadership ability, commitment, and contribution to building and motivating a team.
  • Ability to logically examine difficult problems and define a strategy & approach, manage multiple competing priorities and escalate risks/ issues/ support when required.
  • Ability to work independently with senior stakeholders.

The ‘good to have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are: 

 

  • Network of relationships across Institutional frontline, product and operations areas, particularly in the Property segment
  • SME knowledge of Collateral Management for corporate securities - across various collateral types, policy, systems and processes.
  • Experience in undertaking high-volume remediation activities.
  • Experience in and understanding of the ANZ capital process.
