About the role
You will assist the Finance and Commercial teams in providing analytical, reporting and control support to ensure sound financial decision-making. Your role supports key financial processes including month-end close, budget, forecast and various decision-making processes to drive growth. Additionally, you will have an opportunity to optimise and enhance current processes.
What you'll do
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to establish a robust annual budget.
- Support month-end close processes and monthly reporting on revenue, trade spend and gross profit performance, including monitoring and management of trade accruals with the sales team.
- Perform monthly reporting and variance analysis to present insights, commentary and outcomes to key stakeholders
- Conducting pricing analysis to support pricing strategies and decisions, including price optimisation, margin analysis and competitor analysis.
- Collecting, organising, and analysing data from various sources and developing reports and dashboards to support decision-making and monitoring of performance.
- Assisting in building NPD and Brand P&Ls
What will help you succeed
- Your attitude! We're looking for someone who is curious, likes to problem solve, will ask the right questions, strives to improve processes and is self driven.
- Solid experience in accounting and financial & commercial analysis.
- Sound exposure to budgeting and forecasting.
- Comfortable recommending list prices, understanding customer terms and trade spend plans, whilst understanding route to market, COGS and freight.
- Advanced to expert level of Excel to create advance reporting and dashboards.
- Commercial Finance exposure and FMCG industry experience is desirable.
- Experience with ERP systems; QAD preferred but not essential.
- Experience with advanced use of PowerBI (coding) is desirable
- Experience working with Commercial teams, supply chain, manufacturing or operations is desirable.
- This role is open to Big4 first movers.
