ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role you will drive commercial growth activities within our Future Fuels business by assisting to identify, develop and execute investment opportunities and progress these through each Origin decision gate.
You will be expected to lead and support activities extending across the full project value chain, with a focus on the development phase.
More about the role:
- Assist with the design of commercial frameworks, structures and agreements which support the development of opportunities and projects within Future Fuels (e.g. project value-chain structures / agreements)
- Lead negotiations with potential project partners and suppliers who can assist with the delivery of Origin's commercial objectives (including joint feasibility study, offtake, power purchase and joint venture agreements)
- Support the development and negotiation of commercial agreements which provide access to critical infrastructure (e.g. land, ports, pipelines, other)
- Support discussions with government agencies regarding funding and financing opportunities
- Lead negotiation of funding agreements and supporting agreement compliance obligations
- Support negotiations, documentation and execution of agreements with suppliers of key technologies, equipment and/or services during project development and execution phases.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will come with deep commercial knowledge and experience broad strategic and operational insight, ideally gained within the Oil and Gas, Power or Renewables industries.
More about you:
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, and business skills in the management of budgets, business plans and analysing risk.
- Experience with developing and leading complex commercial projects and a track record of successfully leading and engaging cross-functional teams.
- Experience with marketing and contracting of commodities.
- Proven experience in negotiating complex international contracts including commodity marketing.
- Demonstrated track record in value creation via operational improvement, capital efficiency and/or innovation.
