Commercial Painters

REMA TIP TOP are currently seeking several Commercial Painters to join our crew based in our Welshpool workshop, with travel to site from time to time required. Successful applicants will ideally have previous experience, with a strong work ethic and demonstrated commitment to safety.
Duties and tasks:

• Preparing area by erecting scaffolding and ladders, and ensuring area is protected from paint splatter
• Perform all aspects of a coatings project safely and efficiently: Painting, blasting, sanding, priming, sealing, and patching surfaces, fixing

holes and cracks on buildings, and fixtures

• Selecting ad preparing paints appropriate for job specifications
• Operate, clean and maintain all painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, mixing containers, mixing equipment, and

pumps. Safely storing and labeling all materials when not in use

• Maintain a safe work site, free of safety hazards by monitoring compliance with safety program requirements
• Maintain a register of all used consumables and stock on hand in the painting area. Keeping track of all stock level and report to

workshop supervisor weekly
Job requirements:

• Formal qualification in painting with at least 2 years on-the-job experience
• Experience using all painting equipment including brushes and rollers
• Exposure to treating all types of building surfaces and structures
• High risk qualifications (forklift, white card) are desirable, but not essential
