Due to internal promotion to a Head of Finance role, an opportunity has arisen for a Commercial and Pricing Lead to join this high growth, innovative technology company in their APAC Head Office in Singapore. The Commercial and Pricing lead will play a key role within Southeast Asia to provide effective analysis and business modelling to support the strategic and commercial direction of the business. You will have experience in tenders, dealing with complexity and managing the conversation of senior stakeholder management.
Developing strong relationships and using proven influencing techniques to negotiate best practice contracts and implement value-based pricing models, the role will identify and oversee execution of deliverables relating to pricing strategy and commercial excellence. You will have the ability to suggest alternative scenarios to win new business and understand the cost drivers to set the pricing, highlighting risks and opportunities.
Key Accountabilities:
- Contributing and assisting to coordinate the strategic planning process with the CEO and Finance Director, enabling an effective strategy execution program
- Prepare financial modelling /pricing analysis and business cases for new products / opportunities and existing programs
- Lead cross functional teams in developing and implementing strategic roadmaps product offering and pricing strategies
- Prepare pricing and investment committee materials for internal review and external client proposals
- In-depth analysis of competitors’ strategies and customers’ pricing elasticity study
- Identify customer purchasing behaviours, price/discount sensitivity, brand loyalty across sales channels
- Support a robust process for product and pricing reviews ensuring appropriate controls, governance and documentation are in place
- Drive regional framework and standards for pricing and investment analytics and performance management
- Developing and modelling potential Merger and Acquisition business cases to understand maximum buy prices, impacts to Shareholder Enterprise Valuation, Cashflow and Profit
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance; with CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Minimum of 8 years in a similar role with experience in industries such as Consulting, Corporate Finance, Telecommunications / Services / Insurance industries, new business/product development
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills - advanced financial modelling in Excel a must with excellent analytical skills
- Experience in managing time zones / matrix structure within a global organization (able to work flexible hours as needed during peak times)
