Bauer Foundations is a market leader in piling, retaining structures and ground engineering solutions. With a national footprint and continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
What we are looking for
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dedicated team at Bauer Foundations based in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all building and civil engineering project costs. As a vital team member, you will work closely with operations, administration team and other professionals to manage the project costs to ensure it is completed within the predetermined budget.
Job duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Contract administration and reporting
- Participate in the preparation of cost estimates, and tender documents
- Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and labour hire
- Participate in negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and conditions
- Manage project budgets, including forecasting and monitoring costs
- Monitor and control costs throughout the project, identifying risks and cost-saving opportunities
- Submit regular budget reports
About you
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role
- Valid driver's license
- High level verbal and written communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Advanced computer literacy, including MS Office
