Role and Responsibilities:
As Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning phase of the BESS project, ensuring its seamless integration and optimal functionality within the energy infrastructure. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and executing comprehensive commissioning plans to ensure the successful deployment of the BESS project.
- Leading a team of commissioning engineers and technicians to carry out system testing, verification, and optimization.
- Collaborating closely with project stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams, to ensure alignment and smooth transition from construction to commissioning phase.
- Conducting thorough quality assurance checks and resolving any technical issues or discrepancies to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinating with equipment suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to facilitate timely delivery and installation of BESS components.
- Providing regular progress updates and reports to project management, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements throughout the commissioning process.
- Acting as a liaison between the client and project team, addressing any client concerns or requests related to commissioning activities.
- Ability to work on a site roster as required for project needs. Site is based roughly 2 hours from Sydney CBD.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing commissioning activities for large-scale energy projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of energy storage systems, including battery technologies, inverters, and control systems.
- Experience with commissioning processes, procedures, and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interface with project stakeholders.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and safety standards applicable to energy storage projects.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to ensure project success.
