Communications & Community Partnerships Officer Part Time 64 hours per fortnight
The Communications and Community Partnerships Officer forms part of the corporate team fulfilling a key promotional and community connection role. This role requires the application of well-developed communication and media skills to create community engagement, further reached through relationships with Community Partnerships and established volunteer co-ordination. The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hesse Rural Health.
Key Selection Criteria
Required
• 1+ year’s prior experience in a communications or marketing role.
• Understanding of best practices of main social media channels including Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
• High level competence in the use of Microsoft Office Professional software.
• Must possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people.
• Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team.
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and confidentiality.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Desirable
• Relevant qualification in related field.
• Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Understanding of communications, public relations and marketing best practices.
• Experience in managing and supporting volunteers.
• Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts
• A demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in supporting the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement events and communications strategies, including face to face support and preparation of relevant materials.
