About the Role
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the community? Do you have a flair for community fundraising, event management and a knack for maximizing fundraising opportunities? We're seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join us in this newly created role as the Community and Events Fundraising Specialist!
What will you do?
As the Community and Events Fundraising Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and evaluation of community fundraising campaigns to grow income, increase engagement and raise awareness of digital and in-person peer-to-peer events.
Reporting into the Head of Fundraising and Communications, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing campaign briefs including coordinating the delivery, implementation and evaluation of peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns
  • Building, coaching and nurturing relationships with top key fundraisers and prospects, using best practice fundraising techniques and testing new and innovative ways to improve campaign results
  • Developing online platforms to promote and maximize peer-to-peer engagement and fundraising
  • Event management of key organisational events including efficient management of suppliers, ensuring seamless execution of events
  • Expand mass-participation events and evolve plans to achieve targets
  • Support strategic partnerships across corporate, community, and philanthropic sectors
  • Compliance with all event-related regulations and standards
  • Manage a team of volunteers to the highest levels of performance, engagement and job satisfaction to deliver community events
About You
  • Experience in the development, execution, and reporting of community fundraising events of varying scale in the not-for-profit sector
  • Ability to produce, analyse, and interpret campaign performance information
  • Experience developing copy, images, and video across multiple channels, including web pages, automated email journeys, social media, and SMS
  • Proficiency in the use of fundraising platforms and CRM
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including over the phone
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet competing deadlines
  • Experience in social media and developing / executing communication plans
  • Knowledge and understanding of fundraising principles and practices is preferred
