- Salary: $1084.10 - $1095.80 per week - Temporary Full Time (multiple positions available, up to 30 June 2024) - WHA4
The Community Support Worker provides services to consumers within the region under a consumer directed model. The duties include but are not limited to: personal care, cleaning, meal preparation, transport, and social support, and are provided to persons who are aged, frail, or disabled and who wish to remain living in their own home with some assistance.
Community Support Workers need to be flexible, conscientious, organised, supportive and caring and be able to work autonomously within a diverse community. They will work closely and collaboratively with the consumer, their family and other health professionals, to achieve quality outcomes and maintain consumer independence where possible. Travel within and outside of the region is required.
Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network Inc supports staff to further develop their skills across a variety of areas. Ongoing education is encouraged and enables staff to provide quality and responsive services to consumers.
The successful applicant will have completed Certificate 3 in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or Home and Community).

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements. COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Public Health Act 2011 (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) to work in SA Health/health care setting.
