Here at SACARE, we are seeking Casual Community Support Workers that possess the relevant skills, qualifications and experience to provide individualised care to our participants within home care settings who have high complex needs in all aspects of care, in particular Mental Health.About the role:Supporting NDIS Home Based participants who require psycho-social support services who show signs of mental illness and other Behaviours of Concern, you will be working across a specific roster for the individual participants based on their individual needs.You will be an integral part of the team, ensuring the day-to-day support is delivered to SACARE’s high standard of care.Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Personal care
- Assisting with medication
- Community participation
- Deliver trauma-informed services
- Supporting with independent living skills
- Monitor and maintain accurate case notes
- Observe and record participants behvaiour and escalate where necessary
- Hold a Certificate IV in Mental Health or higher OR
- Currently working towards a Bachelor of Psychology or similar qualification
- Ability to engage and support people with highly complex needs
- Current NDIS Workers Check
- Current DHS Working with Children’s Check
- Current First Aid certificate with current CPR
- Current Manual handling training
- Unrestricted Drivers License
- Through their eyes training
- Previous experience working within the Mental Health Industry
- Mental Health First Aid
- Suicide Prevention training
