What will you do:
Domestic Assistance:
- General home/domestic duties (cleaning, shopping and respite)
- Support clients to maintain or develop independent living skills
- Take immediate action in an emergency to ensure the safety of clients, themselves and the community
- Develop effective, positive and respectful working relationship with clients
- Follow infection control guidelines
- Participate in staff development programs
Care Workers:
- Provide personal care and support to individuals in their own home, including assistance with showering, dressing and bathing.
- Medication assistance
- Food preparation
- General welfare checks
- Assistance with activities (medical appointments, allied health, etc)
- Transport to and from medical appointments and social outings
- Supporting people with complex medical needs
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Care Workers Minimum Cert III in Aged Care, Disability, Individual Support or similar
- Current Criminal History Check (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children's Check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screen (or willing to obtain)
- Current Senior First Aid/CPR (or willing to obtain)
- Current drivers licence & own reliable car, with insurance
