Community Development Manager

This nationally respected developer is seeking to appoint an experienced Community Development Manager to its flagship master planned community, initially on a permanent part-time basis 3 days per week, likely moving to full-time as the project grows in the near term.
  
The role involves fostering community engagement and connectedness to grow a sustainable and cohesive community, implementing strategies to welcome and embrace residents, foster social interaction via events and community activities, support the creation of self-reliant community groups and gather, share and disseminate demographic and other information. Liaising with Council, government, service providers, adjacent developers and not-for-profit organisations to facilitate other community programs and services, along with overseeing the budget for the approved Community Development Implementation Plan, are also important aspects.
  
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in a Community Development capacity, be that with a developer, council/government or community organisation, preferably within a dynamic, urban growth location. Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, communication and conflict resolution skills are all essential to achieve the desired outcomes. The facilitation skills to develop partnerships, alliances and networks are also very important.
