OverviewPosition SummaryThe role of Community Editor is responsible for driving content to influencers, purchasers, and consumers of technology globally. You will be working for our editorial brands, including ARN, Reseller News, CIO and CSO.
The role creates editorial content, social media, video content, email newsletters, webinars, microsites, podcasts, and more. On occasion the role acts as a representative of Foundry at industry events and awards.ResponsibilitiesEDITORIAL:
Content:
- Support in the overall execution of editorial strategy and direction through creation of high-quality localised content
- Develop, research, source and produce content - news, in-depth profile interviews, case studies and features - in alignment with editorial strategy
- Keep abreast of new trends and activities within each market and share such knowledge with wider editorial team
- Attend virtual / physical conferences for content and networking purposes as a brand ambassador of Foundryand our publications
- Own distribution of newsletters and social media strategyCommunity building:
- Actively establish and deepen relationships locally with all key stakeholders in the ecosystem - end users, partners, vendors and distributors
- Spearhead editorial-led community building initiatives - such as virtual roundtables, After Hours etc - to continually nurture and grow this network
- As required, work with our Editorial Director to connect and engage with CIO/CSO communityAudience development:
- Help recruit new partners into brand ecosystems via editorial - this can be achieved by face-to-face meetings, video / phone calls, email conversations and event (internal and external) engagements with partners
- Help increase local credibility of brands among partners through displaying deep audience knowledge and expertise, supporting that group through unique editorial-led content such as in-depth profile interviews and features
- Collaborate effectively with the database team to collectively expand audience reachCOMMERCIAL:
Events:
- Help shape and deliver the editorial strategy of Foundry event engagements, both signature (e.g. EDGE, Innovation Awards and Women in ICT Awards, CIO50 and CSO Awards) and custom (roundtables, webinars etc)
- Participate in pre- and post-event commercial calls as required
- Assist in content creation of invitation, brochures and other event marketing materials as required
- Host and moderate events - drawing on local knowledge of the market and partner priorities to help Foundry engage more strategically at audience and commercial levels
- Collaborate closely with events and database to create pre- and post-event editorial strategies to promote custom and signature events
- Leverage editorial knowledge to support commercial efforts through new ideas, concepts and market initiativesQualificationsSkills & Abilities
- At least three years of B2B editorial experience, ideally in a technology-focused role
- Demonstrable experience of writing interviews and case studies
- Strong journalism background
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Some experience of working with salespeople and customers, ideally on commercial content
- Experience of presenting at events is desired - a willingness to do so is critical.
