The job: Community Inspector
As a Community Inspector with City of Playford, you will be the driving force behind the day-to-day delivery of community compliance. You will also work hand-in-hand with our community to support education and advocacy, contributing to uplifting and maintaining the safety of our City.
What you’ll be doing
Work across our City to ensure that Acts, Bylaws, Regulations and Council Policies are consistently applied.
Undertake a range of complex investigations including taking witness statements, compiling evidence and developing reports.
Process and enforce expiation notices when required.
Work with our residents to raise their awareness and educate them about their responsibilities.
Support proactive education and advocacy strategies to encourage our residents to contribute to a liveable and safe community.
Work within our team of community compliance professionals to support a positive workplace culture where success feels like part of the natural journey.
What you’ll bring to our team
Demonstrated experience with reading, interpreting and applying legislation or policies to help you with to getting some quick wins on the board.
Amazing communication and negotiation skills to help you with working with our residents, providing education and building relationships with our stakeholders.
Proven success in investigating matters will help you with conducting witness statements and writing evidence reports.
Fresh ideas to the table to help us with staying ahead of the curve, streamlining our processes and enhancing our efficiency.
