The Opportunity

Join our team in Pilbara, WA, and embrace a rewarding, full-time role as an Experienced Pharmacist. We're seeking a passionate individual who is dedicated to long-term healthcare.

You will work in our Community Pharmacy and various care settings including our Aboriginal Health Service, Dialysis Unit, and Aged Care centres. A typical day will involve:

  • Strong communication skills to engage with clients effectively, ensuring their understanding and satisfaction with our services
  • Applying your cultural awareness skills in daily interactions, especially when dealing with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Providing top-notch pharmacy services focusing on MedsCheck, Diabetes Medscheck, and all other PBS and essential programs.
  • Taking courses to enhance your understanding of diverse populations, ensuring you can adapt your services to meet specific needs

This is a full-time role working 40 hours with rotating weekend work.

About You

To qualify, candidates should be degree-qualified Pharmacists with general (unrestricted) AHPRA registration and possess a genuine passion and interest in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander healthcare. 

To succeed in this role, you will also have the following traits:

  • You will have the unrestricted legal right to live and work in Australia
  • A highly adaptable problem-solver
  • Great at cultivating relationships within rural indigenous communities
  • Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams
  • An excellent capability to work independently and make sound decisions regarding patient care

In addition, we also require extensive experience in various pharmacy areas. Applicants with vaccinator certification and HMR/MMR accreditation have an advantage. If you lack these accreditations, we provide support to help you obtain them. 

Lastly, while a background in and willingness to work in remote areas is preferred, familiarity with the supply of PBS medicines to Indigenous populations under Section 100 is an advantageous asset.
