The Regional Coordination and Operations Division under Emergency Recovery Victoria (ERV) has established five operational teams as follows:
- The North East team is responsible for coordination of regional recovery across the Hume and Eastern Metro emergency management areas, working in partnership with relevant departments and agencies and other key stakeholders, and supporting local governments namely Boroondara City, Knox City, Manningham City, Maroondah City, Monash City, Whitehorse City, and Yarra Ranges Shire (under Eastern Metro) and Alpine Shire, Benalla Rural City, City of Wodonga, Greater Shepparton City, Indigo Shire, Mansfield Shire, Mitchell Shire, Moira Shire, Murrindindi Shire, Strathbogie Shire, Towong Shire, Wangaratta Rural City, Falls Creek Alpine Resort, Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, Mount Buller Alpine Resort, Mount Hotham Alpine Resort, Mount Stirling Alpine Resort, and Mount Baw Baw Alpine Resort (under Hume), to lead local recovery.
- The North West team is responsible for coordination of regional recovery across the Loddon Mallee and North West Metro emergency management areas, working in partnership with relevant departments and agencies and other key stakeholders, and supporting local governments namely Macedon, Mount Alexander, Central Goldfields, Greater Bendigo, Campaspe, Loddon, Buloke, Gannawarra, Swan Hill and Mildura (under Loddon Mallee) and Nillumbik, Darebin, Yarra, Hume, Whittlesea, Banyule and Moreland (under North West Metro), to lead local recovery.
- The South West team is responsible for coordination of regional recovery across the Grampians and Barwon South West emergency management areas, working in partnership with relevant departments and agencies and other key stakeholders, and supporting local governments to lead local recovery.
- The South East team is responsible for coordination of regional recovery across the Gippsland and South East Metro emergency management areas, working in partnership with relevant departments and agencies and other key stakeholders, and supporting local governments namely Bass Coast, Baw Baw, East Gippsland, Latrobe City, South Gippsland, Wellington (under Gippsland) and Bayside, Cardinia, Casey, Frankston, Glen Eira, Greater Dandenong, Kingston, Mornington Peninsula, Port Phillip, Stonnington, French Island (under Southern metro), to lead local recovery.
- Lead a team of regional emergency management professionals
- Full time/12-month fixed-term VPS6 position
The position will provide leadership, support and issues resolution to community recovery in LGA's, coordinate the effective service delivery in each LGA of recovery hubs, outreach and support services, attend community meetings (as required) and support stakeholder planning.
There are varoius opportunities in the North East and North West regions of Victoria so it is expecated that incumbents of these roles is travel. You may be required to work outside normal business hours and on weekends.

To succeed in this role you will have:
- Demonstrably strong experience in leading and managing diverse teams;
- Proven record of establishing and maintaining strong, effective stakeholder relationships;
- A strong understanding of Victoria's emergency management arrangements.

Early Retirement Scheme:
A re-employment restriction of one year applies to all recipients of an Early Retirement Scheme package from the VPS.
