Mercer is seeking candidates for the following position based in our Sydney OR Melbourne office on a full-time, permanent basis:

Compensation Analyst

  • The impact of this role to the company is to contribute to the delivery of products/services, as well as initiatives to improve processes and add value to our products/services.

  • This role is multi-faceted, allowing development in range of important skills (project management, data analytics, stakeholder management).

  • To be a great hire, you will need a good attitude and ability to learn quickly.

  • Joining a diverse team, with wide ranging experience and skills (some more focused on project management, while others are more technically inclined).

  • 2-3 Week induction plan to meet key stakeholders and learn the basic methodologies and processes. Majority of learning will be on the job.

We will count on you to:

  • Assist in the project management, survey design and administration of the salary survey process

  • Write commentary associated with survey results

  • Undertake statistical analysis and interpretation

  • Prepare large volumes of data for uploading into survey analysis and reporting software

  • Validate survey data with clients

  • Provide technical support to internal and external clients

  • Respond to client queries regarding products, services and solutions

  • Develop skills and competencies in order to project manage smaller surveys

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, credit average or better, in Human Resources, Commerce, Statistics, Psychology, Social Sciences or related discipline.

  • Computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, advanced knowledge of Excel, SPSS or other statistical package, and familiarity with e-mail and web browser technology

  • Capacity to acquire competence in the use of in-house applications

  • High level of numeric skills and capacity to attend to detail
