* From $104,726 - $113,545 (HEW Level 7), plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading.* Appointment Type: Full Time, Continuing* Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, Dharug land, North RydeThe RoleIn this role, you will support the implementation of the University's response to student complaints, Appeals and Misconduct, provide high level advice, ensure appropriate case management and compliance with policies and procedures. Key responsibilities of Complaints, Appeals and Misconduct Coordinator position include :Coordinate and contribute to the Student Misconduct Community of Practice and be a member of the Complaints Resolution Network.Triage student complaints, Appeals and Misconduct reports, and liaise with students and key stakeholders across faculties and officesManage cases, ensuring timely responses with a view to fair and efficient resolution of matterProvide expert advice and support for the timely and compliant resolution of student complaints, Appeals and Misconduct incidents including:o Collaboration with faculty teams and managers responsible for managing academic integrity breaches, providing advice and support as appropriateo Collaboration with Research Ethics and Integrity Unit with particular reference to misconduct investigationso Providing advice and support to the Dean of Students to manage behaviour breaches and Misconduct incidentso Collaboration with Student Advocateso Providing timely and accurate reporting to the DVC(A) and Registrar in the management of student appeals.Coordinate and provide secretariat support for the University Discipline Committee and the University Appeals Committee.Collate and analyse student data, and prepare reports to governing bodies as requiredEnsure student support resources, guides and information applicable to complaints, Appeals and discipline are accessible and up to dateInterpret, develop and explain complex and sensitive policies, procedures and processes to stakeholders and students.Maintain timely communication with internal and external stakeholders in relation to matters.Ensure student and case specific data is recorded and maintained appropriately and assist in developing effective mechanisms for monitoring and reporting on student complaints, Appeals and conduct matters.About UsMacquarie is a university engaged with the real and often complex problems and opportunities that define our lives.
