- Administer road transport licensing efficiently, ensuring compliance.
- Collaborate with business development to support growth initiatives through regulatory compliance.
- Provide expertise and guidance during transport incidents or emergencies.
- Conduct thorough investigations into transport incidents, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures.
- Offer support and advice to operational managers and schedulers on regulatory requirements.
- Mentor staff on compliance matters, fostering their professional development.
- Identify opportunities to enhance transport compliance, safety, and security.
- Demonstrated track record of at least 5 years in a comparable compliance role, ideally within the transportation sector, showcasing expertise in navigating regulatory landscapes effectively.
- Proven experience of at least 3 years in supervisory positions or comparable leadership roles, demonstrating strong managerial capabilities and leadership skills.
- Comprehensive understanding and practical application of Chain of Responsibility (COR) principles, including Mass Management, Load Restraint, Fatigue Management, and HVAC requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of South Australian Roads permit requirements and Heavy Vehicle Access Management (RAV) regulations, with a keen awareness of regional regulatory nuances.
- Certified and proficient in the safe handling and transportation of Dangerous Goods, ensuring compliance with stringent safety protocols and regulatory standards.
