About Viewa

Viewa is an Australian visualisation software specialist that leverages 3D, web-based AR and AI (coming soon) to drive conversions for its clients. Our Viewa suite of products allow customers to interact with 3D product models on the web and then virtually place them at home to see what they will look like simply by clicking a website link (no app download required). This increases dwell time, engagement and ultimately conversions.

The majority of the Viewa team is based in Victoria however we also have staff in NSW, a team in the Philippines and (soon) USA. We pride ourselves on our company culture and have a highly talented team that all work remotely and support each other to ensure the highest quality product and client service. We use a range of software including Wrike, Zoom, Google chat, HubSpot etc to ensure efficient staff communication.

Viewa is growing quickly and looking for talented and dedicated staff to join the team. Salary is negotiable based on experience and there is also an Employee Share Option Plan available for the right candidates.
 

We are open to flexible work arrangements. We can support part time (2 days per week minimum) up to full time.
 

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Vision / AI Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is pivotal in contributing to the enhancement and creation of advanced 3D and AR applications for product visualisation on the web and is primarily focused on R&D . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Computer Vision, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI), coupled with hands-on experience in developing and deploying complex algorithms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced research in Computer Vision, ML, and AI to develop and enhance 3D and AR applications.
  • Utilize Python, OpenCV, PyTorch, and TensorFlow to create and implement innovative solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Computer Vision research and integrate state-of-the-art techniques into our projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Computer Vision technologies.
  • Communicate complex ideas and research findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Compile research reports. 
  • Maintain a high degree of autonomy while working remotely.


Requirements

  • Advanced research degree (Masters or PhD) in Computer Vision, AI, ML, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with Python and proficiency in OpenCV, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
  • In-depth knowledge of the current state of the art in Computer Vision research.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote work environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in developing 3D and AR applications.
  • Publications in relevant scientific journals or conferences.
  • Familiarity with other programming languages and tools commonly used in AI and ML.
