We are expanding our team and are looking for experienced Precast Concrete Erector (permanent or casual positions available- rates based on experience).
About the Role
The precast installation erector works with a team to perform tasks involved in the installation of precast concrete. This includes hollow core panels, wall panels, beams, columns, bleachers and balconies. Position requires travel to and from job sites where long hours are involved. Overnight stays are occasionally involved depending on the job location and requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
· On-site layout for precast erection
· Rig and install various precast components
· Ensure components are erected in proper order
· Ensure drawings are followed for bearing and connections
· Read blueprints and details
· Make proper connections as per drawings
· Grout, weld, dry pack and shim precast components as required
· Core, drill mechanical holes and caulk underside of exposed ceilings
· Load, unload and transport construction materials
· Mix, pour and spread materials
· Other activities as requested by management
Qualifications
An effective Precast Concrete installation Labourer at Ramco must have:
· Ability to read and write English
· Ability to read tape measure(metric/ imperial)and drawings
· Ability to lift up to 22kg
· Safety conscious
· Able to work well with a team
· Attention to detail and accurate
· Reliable and highly motivated
· Welding experience an asset
· One year experience in a similar field is preferred.
