AddressThe technician role will involve specimen preparation, logging and testing of materials in accordance with Australian Standards using various testing machines within a mechanical testing laboratory. This position is hands-on and the successful applicant will be provided with training in the use of basic workshop equipment.
You will be required to perform (but not limited to) the following tasks:
- Preparation of test pieces for mechanical testing
- Record dimensional measurements of test pieces
- Conduct mechanical tests on test pieces
- General housekeeping and laboratory maintenance
- Occasionally prepare data tables and test reports
- Assist engineers with a diverse range of test preparation and testing activities
