The Job
- You will join a growing team of 11 Consultant Anaesthetists, 7 Registrars and 2 PGY1s that is complemented by an Acute Pain Nurse Consultant and a Research Nurse Co-ordinator.
- The Anaesthetics Department is an accredited ANZCA training site and part both the Eastern Victorian Anaesthetic Training Scheme and the new Regional Victorian Anaesthetic Training Scheme.
- You will provide anaesthetic services for a wide range of specialities, including: general surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, ENT, urology, dental, endoscopy and ERCP, medical imaging and paediatric surgery (down to 2 years).
- As a Consultant Anaesthetist you will participate in providing safe, efficient and effective patient-centred anaesthetic and acute pain management inpatient services, and all Anaesthetists are expected to be able to provide routine anaesthesia services and cover on-call after hours.
- You will also responsible for providing excellent clinical expertise, service and supervision to junior medical staff and other relevant staff in Anaesthetics, supported by the Clinical Director.
