From inpatient care to community-based health initiatives, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients. Your contributions will extend to teaching, training, and research, further enriching your professional journey.The Northern Adelaide Geriatric Service provides comprehensive geriatric medicine service within NALHN including:
  • Geriatric Evaluation and Management Unit (GEM Modbury Hospital)
  • Geriatric Rehabilitation ward
  • Acute Care of the Elderly inpatient unit
  • Orthogeriatrics
  • Geriatrics in the Home (GITH) virtual inpatient service
  • Community GEM
  • Geriatrics Emergency Department in-reach (GEDI)
  • Inpatient geriatric consultative services
  • Rural Consultative and Outpatient Service in the Inner North (based in Gawler & Port Pirie)
  • Care Awaiting Placement
  • Transitional Care Program

Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.Check(s)
