About the Role:
The Neurologist will participate in the assessment and management of inpatients with neurological conditions, on call roster for neurology and stroke, outpatient clinics within the region, and neurophysiological services including EEG, nerve conduction studies, EMG and evoked potentials. As the Consultant Neurologist your duties may include:
- providing appropriate level care to patients.
- coordinating the follow up care of patients.
- providing clinical supervision to Trainee Medical Officers and Medical Students.
To be successful in the application you will need:
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Neurology)
- Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice in Neurology.
- Experience with the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
