ABOUT THE ROLE:
Mercy Mental Health a provider of Public Adult Mental Health services for the southwest metropolitan area in Melbourne is seeking experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our clinical team. All enquiries welcome and start date negotiable. Relocation assistance within Australia is available.

Leadership role as a consultant psychiatrist at Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team located at Werribee Mercy Hospital, Werribee. .
Provide clinical leadership and support in the Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team, PAST and HOPE Team including supervision of junior medical staff.
Opportunity for involvement in the training of Psychiatry registrars in the RANZP fellowship program.
Opportunity to participate in academic and research activities.
Provide teaching to medical students from the University of Notre Dame.
Option of part time or full time employment, depending on your individual professional development goals.

ABOUT YOU:
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
Specialist Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
You will have well-developed communication skills and be comfortable practicing within a Recovery Orientated Mental Health Service Framework.
You will have demonstrated clinical leadership skills and skills in mental health risk assessment and management.
You will be comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team focussing on safety and the best outcome for the consumers and carers of the mental health service.
Prior experience working in the Public Mental Health Service system will be of benefit.
