Exciting Opportunity for Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Are you a dedicated and passionate Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist seeking a fulfilling career opportunity? Look no further! We are pleased to announce a unique and exciting position at Perth Children's Hospital for a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist within the CAMHS Eating Disorder Service (EDS). The EDS is the tier 4 State-Wide Specialist Service, offering assessment and treatment to young people with severe Eating Disorders. It is a multi-disciplinary team providing outpatient care, day treatment, inpatient care and support groups. The program supports children and young people and their families through assessment, recovery and discharge from the service. Our primary intervention is Family Based Treatment (FBT).

About the Role: As a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Psychiatry. Your contributions will extend to teaching, research, quality improvement, and administrative activities within the inpatient unit. What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will be registered, or eligible for specialist registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Fellowship with the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent specialist recognition is essential. Completion (or approaching completion) of the Certificate in Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (RANZCP) or equivalent is highly desirable.
