The Organisation
You will be working at a health service that provides a comprehensive range of surgical, emergency, mental health, ambulatory and community health services to over 725,500 people in Perth's eastern metropolitan region.
The Mental Health Service provides a comprehensive range of public mental health services for ages 16 years and above, through community mental health services and hospitals. The health service has two major mental health divisions catering to mental health services for different suburbs. These services provide a wide range of community mental health services through hospital and community-based services. Other services include a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week Mental Health Emergency Response Line and innovative high-quality hospital-in-the-home services.
The Job

• Multiple openings for Consultant Psychiatrists across the mental health service including in Older Adult services within community, hospital, and inpatient settings.
• Working alongside a friendly and collegial team of Consultant Psychiatrists, you will that all patients receive comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and formulation of management plans for their mental health problems by appropriate members of the multi-disciplinary team.
• You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and skills in providing leadership, orientation, training, and supervision for doctors in training and other health workers.
• You will have access to continuous professional development and education.
• You will participate in the shared on-call/after-hours/weekend rosters.

Requirements

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), or equivalent
