The OrganisationYou will be working at Victoria’s largest sub-regional health service and the sub-region’s major specialist referral centre. The health service provides a comprehensive range of specialist medical, nursing, mental health, allied health and community health services to the 110,000 people who live in the catchment area.In 2023, works commenced on a $384.2 million hospital redevelopment. The redevelopment will deliver a bigger emergency department, more operating theatres, a new paediatric unit, an extra 22 inpatient beds and dedicated areas for pathology services and dialysis.
The Job

• As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing medical and psychiatric assessment and care to adult and aged persons
• In a collegial multi-disciplinary team, you will offer primary clinical assessment and treatment and secondary consultation, guidance and advice to a range of other healthcare professionals and settings
• Contribute to the development and promotion of divisional quality improvement activities
• You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and skills undertaking clinical and teaching activities for junior medical colleagues, medical students and psychiatric registrars in training and other members of the MHS Division across a broad range of service settings and sites

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), or equivalent
