PortxGroup Australia is expanding its Container Crane Maintenance team and we’re looking for experienced Mechanical Technician to join us.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance repairs and modifications on Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes (RMG), Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTG), Spreaders and other plant and equipment
- Perform regular maintenance inspections of cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment
- Rebuild, replace or repair major equipment components, assemblies and systems
- Maintain and update records of work performed on equipment in order to track service history
- Correct unsafe conditions and housekeeping problems in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately
- Operate tools, equipment and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties
- Respond to work request in a timely manner as per assigned KPIs
About you
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic drawings and troubleshoot hydraulic systems
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to lead a team of Mechanical technicians
- A desire to learn and be trained for potential opportunities to work on international projects
- Must be available to work overtime and travel to customer sites if required
