Community Recycling WA (CRWA) is the not for profit refund point operator of choice in the Rockingham and Peel regions. CRWA started operation last year at the commencement of the WA Government's ‘Containers for Change’ scheme on the 1st October 2020. We have a great team who are passionate about delivering the best customer service experience to the community.
With an expected redemption rate from the Western Australian community of 85%, we are excited to continue to grow our business.
About the Role
CRWA are seeking a Driver to tow our trailer and container sorter/cashier's with excellent work ethic and a punctual and committed attitude towards working in the recycling industry. There is a casual position available at our Erskine site to travel to Waroona and Boddington every Wednesday and Thursday respectively. Aspects of the role are:
- Towing a car sized trailer with bins to and from our Waroona and Boddington sites every Wednesday and Thursday to and from our Erskine depot.
- Sorting and counting eligible Containers for four hours a day and manual handling of customer bags/containers.
- Liaising with customer's about container counts and what is and isn't eligible within the scheme and why. Excellent customer service is a must.
- Processing of customer transactions through the point of sale system on our iPad's.
- Counting and balancing of till.
- General cleaning of site.
- Occasional use of forklift to empty bins and load and unload trailers.
About You
You will be a passionate driven individual with excellent customer service and a can-do attitude.
ESSENTIAL:
The Successful Candidate will display the following:
- A 3-tonne tow capacity car is a must to tow our mobile trailer.
- Cash handling experience.
- Current forklift ticket.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and also autonomously, as required.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering excellent customer service skills.
- Capable of undertaking flexible work hour arrangements in cooperation with other staff.
- National Police Clearance prior to employment.
- Hold a current Driver’s Licence.
Desired:
Senior First Aid Qualification, including CPR.
