About the Role

The role of Content Developer and Workshop Facilitator requires the coordination, planning and execution of activities to successfully deliver ARIIA workforce training and/or organisational objectives in collaboration with the Workstream Director and Research Director.

The Content Developer and Workshop Facilitator will be responsible for creating, reviewing and coordinating engaging online learning content for capability building and educational purposes that is informed by approaches, innovations and technologies in learning and teaching practice that enhance the learner experience. A key component of this role is the transition of this online from a freely accessible course into an accredited, commercial offering with the requisite preparation of assessment, compliance and supporting material for the course. They will also provide teaching of this content through high quality facilitation of online and in person workshops, on a range of Aged Care topics that reflect the workforce capability building priorities of ARIIA.

Aged Care Research and Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA)

Aged Care Research and Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA) will transform the way we care for Older Australians. Funded by the Australian Government and the Department of Health, the Organisation will deliver activities across three workstreams to improve aged care for all Australians. Bringing together consumers, industry and researchers, ARIIA supports the translation of research into practice to modernise and pave the way for sector wide improvements, making a real and meaningful change to the aged care sector.

About You

To be successful in this role you must have experience in developing online content for adult learners. You will demonstrate critical thinking, analytical, and evaluation skills including the ability to quickly adapt to new concepts and information, as well as deliver positive, innovative solutions. Your high-level, independent judgement and initiative will allow you to work under minimal supervision, to manage, organise and coordinate activities.

Your excellent oral and written English and interpersonal skills will enable you to communicate, collaborate and engage with diverse stakeholders and industry partners. You will also demonstrate the ability to engage with and educate people with English as a second language, or from a wide range of educational backgrounds.

You will also be progressing towards relevant postgraduate qualifications and have extensive experience applicable to the role. Or you will have an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training in a discipline and context relevant to education or training in aged, health or social care.

A qualification and/or equivalent experience in adult teaching and learning and curriculum design, development or revision aligned to strategic plans including development of adult teaching and learning activities and evaluation and assessment aligned with content and learning outcomes.
