About The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role is responsible for managing the allocated contracts from Pre-Award to Post-Award and Contract Post-Award management.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
- Prepare, issue and Tenders observing all confidentiality requirements.
- Develop and deliver Contract packages in relation to contracting strategies and plans to be used for the portfolio.
- Negotiate terms and conditions engaging legal counsel has required.
- Ensure all relevant documentation is included in the Contract prior issue for Tender.
- Drafting of Recommendations for Award of Contracts to a level suitable for signoff.
- Identify appropriate time to issue preferred tender status or Notice of Award.
- Undertake and participate in Tender Evaluations.
- Engage relevant internal stakeholders in Tender Evaluations to leverage corporate knowledge to produce tender analysis. Identify shortlist of Tender candidates.
- Deal with and expedite outstanding terms and condition and related pre award correspondence for final approvals.
- Conforming of the Contract aligning the Clarifications Register and closure of items.
- Issue Conformed Contract for internal approval.
- Do all material things to execute and lodge originals with secure document facility and document management system.
- Administer Contracts during delivery ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and relevant legislation.
- Manage contractual risk during execution including managing contractor claims and protecting Hanroy's rights and interests.
To be success in this role, you will have:
- Degree in relevant field such as Engineering, Business, Commerce, Finance or Law or equivalent experience in Mining or Contracts.
- Previous experience as a Contracts Administrator in major relevant mining projects and operations in relation to mine, port and rail project and maintenance.
- Experience within contracts/commercial department or a related Commercial/Contracts role.
- Managing contracts through the entire contract life-cycle.
- An understanding of Contract law and general law.
