Seeking interest from experienced Control Systems Engineers for a fantastic opportunity with our industry leading Mining client.
With a global portfolio of operations, this contract opportunity will work with Engineering teams in Adelaide on automated Control System projects.
Contracts will be ongoing at 6 month rolling secondments, based in Adelaide CBD with occasional site visits.
As a Control System Engineer, you will support Control System related issues ensuring effective plant and equipment efficiency by developing, implementing strategies and processes, and providing governance.
About the Role- Evaluating, planning, coordinating and implementing systems projects
- Provide Control Systems support to breakdowns and production critical issues
- Improving plant capability, safety, and reliability by improving proactive maintenance systems
- Providing electrical engineering / Control Systems to all project teams as required
- Provide governance on all Control Systems changes including risk assessment, compliance to design standards and verification
- Provide technical stewardship through a variety of minor work in the electrical and Control Systems space
- Competent in configuring and programming various Control System platforms including:
- Yokogawa & Honeywell DCS's
- Allen Bradley & GE PLC's
- Citect HMI
- Knowledgeable in analogue and discrete sensors (e.g., level, flow, pressure, temperature, position)
- 5+ years previous heavy industry experience in Control Systems and / or electrical engineering support
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechatronic or Control Systems Engineering
- Competent in configuring and programming various platforms
