About the role
We have a 12 month opportunity for a Conveyance & Dams Officer to undertake job planning, installation of instrumentation, monitoring and collection of hydrometric data across the state to support compliance requirements of our water and wastewater assets. This position will be based in our Shenton Park office, reporting to the Team Leader - Conveyance & Dams.
What the role will involve
· Carry out preliminaries to work for installation of monitoring instrumentation
· Install, commission, operate and maintain asset and system monitoring instrumentation
· Investigate and report faults and arrange corrective action as required to ensure minimal data loss
· Prepare technical and field reports on data collection outcomes and activities to demonstrate compliance with monitoring programs
· Use specialised software systems for collection, validation and archiving of hydrometric data
· Install and operate specialised instrumentation for the collection of hydrometric data
Key skills and experience
· Trade qualification or equivalent, with experience in field instrumentation activities
· Operation and maintenance of field instrumentation
· Collection, validation and management of hydrometric and environmental data
· Use of specialist software systems for collecting and validating hydrometric data
· Experience in high-risk activities related to field system investigation (excavation and confined space entry)
