The Role
Frankie’s Food Factory Milperr islooking for a Cook who can oversee the restaurant's kitchen by effectivelymanaging other kitchen and food preparation team members whilst deciding whatdishes to serve and adjusting orders to meet guests' requests.
All work will be conducted ina fully functioning, very clean and organised kitchen. Applicants must have theability to work well under pressure and time constraints, with knowledge ofdifferent varieties of foods and ingredients, communication skills, and theability to accept customer feedback to improve future experiences.
Tasks Include
- Set up workstations withrequired ingredients and cooking equipment;
- Checking the cleanliness ofequipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliancewith occupational health and safety regulations;
- Checking the quality of rawmaterials and weighing ingredients;
- Ability to follow recipesand instructions;
- Regulating temperatures ofovens and other cooking equipment;
- Seasoning, preparing andcooking food;
- Storing food intemperature-controlled facilities;
- Emptying, cleaning andgreasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment;
- Maintaining food safety andhygiene at all times;
Qualificationsand Skills
- AQF Certificate IIIincluding at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV(ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
- Relevant qualificationsrequired however, 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for thequalifications.
- Have at least 3 years ofexperience as a cook;
- Planning menu and creatingnew dishes;
- Ensure quality products areprepared and presented;
- Manage kitchen includingtraining staff when needed;
- Have experience in upholdingthe proper health and safety requirements in the kitchen;
