As our Cook you will work at St Anne’s and St Joseph, residential aged care homes located in beautiful leafy Hunters Hill. We pride ourselves on offering a home like environment that operates under Catholic Healthcare’s values of Compassion, Excellence, Honesty, Hospitality & Respect.

Currently we’re looking for a Cook to join our team on a casual basis.

As part of a dedicated team who work hard to create a safe, home like environment you will work alongside of chef, catering and care teams to provide well-presented fresh and nutritional meals that are aromatic and appetizing. 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of the menu in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards and Catholic Healthcare's model of care
• Compliance with Food safety Policies and Procedures
• Preparation of texture modified diets, supplements and an awareness of allergens/intolerances
• Ensuring all dietary concerns are accommodated
• Efficient stock control
• Updating resident dietary information/records
• Preparing food for events within the home

To be considered for this role, you will possess the following;

• Previous experience in an Aged Care Cooks role - ideally
• Certificate in Hospitality qualification or Certificate III Commercial Cookery qualification preferred
• Good knowledge of Food Safety is essential
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate with key stakeholders at all levels
• COVID vaccination x 3
• NDIS check or willing to obtain
