Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Ethnic Indian Cook to join our team at our Parafield Gardens location. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in preparing a wide range of Indian dishes, with a special emphasis on Indian sweets.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and dessert with traditional methods.
• Knowledge of Tandoor and other traditionsl methods, spices according to different regions of India.
• Specialize in making traditional Indian sweets such as Gulab Jamun, Jalebi, and Barfi.
• Knowledge of cooking temperatures for ovens and Tandoors.
• Season dishes with appropriate spices and present them attractively on plates.
• Store food at required temperatures in cold rooms and bain-maries.
• Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements.
• Ensure the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Requirements:
• Proven experience of at least 1 year as an Indian Cuisine cook, with expertise in Indian sweets.
• Atleast Certificate III is prefered. If an ideal candidate doesnot have the certificate, atleast 3 years of experince will be required.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Cuisine and traditional cooking techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
