SalaryWe are currently recruiting for a Cook to join our team on a seasonal contract. The onsite Motel Restaurant, services both inhouse (bus tours) and locals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hours available will be variable across service, however this will be a salaried position based on 40hrs a week.
- Ensure all aspects of food preparation, cooking and presenting of dishes according to company guidelines and customer preferences
- Liaise with food service/bar staff and management regarding customers order and general service of kitchen operations
- Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment, to include proper storage of food, equipment, utensils and implements
- Daily temperature checks of fridges, freezers, storage areas, deliveries and recording assessment where necessary
- Cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting all kitchen areas in accordance with daily cleaning
What you will bring:
- Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant
- A working understanding of 'Food Safety' principles and workplace health and safety
- Possess highly effective verbal communication skills
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Happy to work as part of a team and chip in to get to get the job done right!
- Ability to live and work remotely for 6months
