About the role
This role is responsible for maintaining the kitchen in an effective and efficient manner, providing nutritious, varied, and cost-effective meals in line with residents’ care plans and food safe principles. A key responsibility is developing and reviewing menus along with completing monthly stock-takes.
About you
You’ll share our values and want to make a difference in the lives of others. Your key experience will include:

  • Certificate III Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience cooking in a Residential Aged Care setting (preferred)
  • Sound knowledge of Food Standards Australia New Zealand
  • Sound knowledge of dietary nutrition requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and participation as an active member of a team
  • Infection Prevention Control Certificate
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate (obtained within the last 12 months)
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
  • Evidence of current influenza and COVID vaccinations (preferred)
