About the Role
The Processing Production Services team at Area C has an exciting opportunity for a suitable candidate to undertake an Isolation Coordinator position. This is a permanent position on an 8/6 days only FIFO roster from Perth. Reporting to the Processing Production Services Superintendent, you will work closely with the Production Execution and Fixed Plant Maintenance teams.
Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Planning and execution of all shutdown isolation permits, plant handover & handback process and work alongside another isolation coordinator during Shutdown activities to ensure all Lockboxes are being managed as per BHP Procedure
  • Create, review, and approve Shutdown Lockbox Permits and Isolation Certificates
  • Liaise with Production, Maintenance, Commissioning and Projects teams to ensure isolation permit requirements are known and implemented
  • Prepare lockbox permits ahead of scheduled shutdowns and maintenance works
  • Attend all weekly Shutdown meetings as the Processing Production representative
  • Provide coaching and assistance to permit users and holders in isolation systems and processes
  • Complete field leadership on lockbox permit and isolation activities
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to ensure hazard controls are implemented and effective
  • Identify and implement improvements to the MAC isolations system
About You
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a willing to learn the Isolation Process, with a focus on safety and efficiency that are second to none, and an ability to approach challenges as opportunities for improvement. As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
  • Experience working in OHP, FPM or an electrical trade will be highly regarded
  • Willing to undertake Lockbox officer training
  • Willing to learn and use the Sphera system and contribute to the introduction and roll-out of WAIO's Digitally Integrated Permit System (Sphera)
  • Willing to have a flexible roster around the Shutdown calendar (some ad hoc night shift coverage may be required)
  • High level of self-motivation and a strong work ethic
