About the role


We are currently looking for an experienced Coordinator - Maintenance Planning who will be based in our Kooragang Island facility near Newcastle, NSW on a permanent full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible to plan Mechanical jobs (corrective and routines) and produce a weekly schedule by coordinating with all stake holders.

These work plans and schedules optimise efficient maintenance execution and plant uptime, which supports the production plant on achieving their objectives of safety, quality, delivery and cost.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about safety and keen to work in a team environment.

What you will be doing

  • Total commitment to ensure safety of all personnel on site
  • Planning all corrective and routine jobs in the weekly schedule
  • Interact with others to maintain and improve workplace safety;
  • Plan, schedule and distribute work packs for the weekly schedule and plant shutdowns to ensure plant reliability and statutory compliance;
  • Run regular SAP reports and analyse data;
  • Ensuring timely planning of statutory inspections, coordinating with Responsible Engineers when required
  • Coordinate with various vendors to get quotes and plan jobs;
  • Implement improvements to planning process; and
  • Ensure that all contractors are inducted before bringing them onsite.

What you will bring


•    This role is ideally suited to individuals with excellent understanding of SAP Plant Maintenance module;
•    A safety-first philosophy in all aspects of your work;
•    At least 5 years’ experience in a heavy or chemical industry;
•    Demonstrated experience collaborating and communicating at all levels of a global organization;
•    Trade qualification in Mechanical or equivalent; and
•    Experience in planning for multiple trades.
