About the role

We are seeking a Coordinator Open Spaces Strategy to lead the strategic direction of Open Spaces consistent with the objectives of Council’s adopted business plans and works programs. In this position, you will develop and update relevant policy, strategy and planning documents for maintenance, renewal and improvement of Council’s open space network. You will also engage with key stakeholders and community members to facilitate contribution to the development of open space planning requirements for masterplans, strategies and strategic plans. The Coordinator will also provide assessment advice for developments that impact on the environment with respect to landscape issues, tree preservation and bushland. This position will require strong analytical and communication skills combined with a thorough understanding of Open Spaces. Have a look at the position description and we invite you to apply.

This position is located at Council's Rushforth Road Works Depot, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
