Job description

The Perth Glory Football Club is an Australian professional football club based in Perth, Western Australia. It competes as Western Australia’s sole representative team, in the country's premier men's & women’s competitions, the A-Leagues, (A-League Men, and A-League Women) under licence from Australian Professional Leagues (APL). The club also competes in the local National Premier League (NPL) competition and fields teams from u13 – u23 as part of its youth academy program in addition to its first team. The club has won the national league championship twice and the national premiership four times in its 25-year history.

Position Overview:

The Corporate Partnerships & Sales Executive will be responsible for maximising corporate sales across key activities of the Perth Glory FC A-Leagues Men’s and Women’s brands. 

The Corporate Partnership & Sales Executive’s primary focus will be upon the club’s hospitality and corporate sales program. maximising sale and growth of corporate seating inventory, corporate box, and corporate function sales as well as other ancillary club corporate sales, corporate events, and sponsorship inventory in line with commercial objectives and targets. 

The role will also entail the fulfillment of sponsor servicing obligations to a wide variety of dedicated sponsors, corporate and community partners maintaining at all times service excellence in line with the organisation’s strategic objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage corporate event sales, including booking, invoicing, and client communication.
  • Coordinate match day hospitality events, handling inventory, ticketing, catering, AV, and more.
  • Support club partners with benefits like ticketing, merchandise, and digital advertising.
  • Foster positive client relationships through regular communication.
  • Create Activation Plans for partners based on agreements.
  • Lead external team communication and maintain the corporate CRM database.
  • Assist in commercialization efforts, including ad hoc events.
  • Provide general administrative and sales support.
  • Handle inbound corporate inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain the Corporate Sales website and database.
  • Produce weekly commercial team sales reports.
  • Develop and execute a corporate sales plan, cultivating a strong sales pipeline.
  • Generate new leads through networking, cold-calling, and research.
  • Conduct client presentations confidently.
  • Collaborate with teams to market corporate products effectively.
  • Ensure professional service levels for corporate partners.
  • Assist in sponsor servicing programs and game activations.
  • Research partnership needs and maintain accurate records.
  • Report on daily activities and weekly performance against targets.
  • Fulfill other reasonable duties as directed.

Core Competencies and Essential Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will be required to demonstrate the following:

  • Tertiary qualification preferable with three years plus corporate or sales experience.
  • A passion for the development of a career in sales.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed corporate sales targets.
  • Proven track record of selling high valued products.
  • Experience in developing creative sales strategy and new sales initiatives.
  • Experience in strategic prospecting and cold calling (outbound sales) capability.
  • Strong network of contacts and understanding of the WA corporate market
  • Experience in the corporate hospitality marketplace.
  • Excellent research, planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and financial acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, presentation and oral communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Self-motivated and highly driven work ethic.
  • Good manners and high standard of personal presentation.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder relationship management experience.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and within a fast-paced environment.
  • Preparedness to be flexible in respect to work hours and to be available to work all game day and club events inclusive of out of business hours and weekends when required
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Working with Children Check (required prior to appointment)
