Seeking a billing and Costing Officer to assist the accounts department of busy Transport and Logistics Team in Eagle Farm. The preferred and successful candidate will have a dynamic "can do " attitude, work well as part or team while also taking initiative in unsupervised conditions in addition possessing a firm understanding of standard accounting practices.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal/external clients/stakeholders
- Provide timely and accurate assistance
- Ensure that disbursement invoices for customs duties/sales tax and freight charges are raised daily or as required
- Checks each shipment file to ensure that a reasonable profit has been made, identify and investigate all non-profit shipments and escalate as required
- Separate each shipment individually as per the client quote, check rates against SMART/PROCARS, identify and rectify all errors
- Prepare bundle for client attaching original invoice ready for mailing/delivery
- Process and post into the PROCARS system creditor invoices by end of month
- Ensure files are cleared in an efficient manner daily
- Ensure correct process flow and documentation is going through smoothly / swiftly with
speed and accuracy - Other duties as directed
Desired Experience (but not essential):
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal/external clients/stakeholders
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and authorities which impact on your area of responsibility
- Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Business Acumen and cost consciousness
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
