About this role: Costing Process Owner

On behalf of our client – Woodside Energy, a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Costing Process Owner, In this role, you will play a critical function in ensuring that accurate and efficient Costing Processes across our vast operations are maintained, enabling the Company to make informed business decisions that drive performance and growth. This will be a 12 month contract located at their ‘state of the art’ Perth CBD premises.

The role in Finance is to partner and:

  • Enable the business to achieve strategic goals while ensuring appropriate safeguards are in place
  • Provide data-based insights and analytical guidance to drive improvement
  • Ensure our shareholders’ capital is allocated in a way that generates optimal value

You will be responsible for:

  • For the governance of the harmonised Woodside Costing Guideline and Cost Allocation Processes
  • Oversee the execution of Costing processes, including residual clearing and master data creation
  • Partake in audits to uphold the Cost Allocation Process
  • Partner with SAP S/4HANA Keystone Project to continue bringing the improvements to costing related processes in S4
  • Engage with all Finance Teams and Senior Finance Leaders to develop and implement costing strategies and master data management policies that align with company objectives
What you need to bring:
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance OR related field
  • Extensive experience working in a costing role in the Oil & Gas industry with experience working with SAP software
  • Demonstrate experience implementing and managing costing policies and procedures across a multi-country organisation
  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with large and complex data sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with experience using other financial reporting and analysis tools
  • Exposure to Joint Venture processes including non-operator audits
